OFFICE / RESIDENTIAL	Libra Capital / Studios Architect    This project was a critical conversion project from a commercial/office setting of a very sophisticated wine-manufacturer to a residential program.   SAVKOM Inc was called upon to perform a feasibility study along with recommendations and budget estimates for elevators.  We performed our study and our recommendations with options and budget estimates were accepted.  SAVKOM Inc was retained to develop elevator specifications and construction administration. We coordinated with the Architect, Structural Engineer and the MEP Engineer regarding esthetics, structural loads and electrical and BTU calculations.  We assisted with the contractor pre-qualification, bidding process, contractor interview and selection, construction administration, acceptance and sign-off.  The elevator component of this project was under budget and completed way ahead of schedule. Furthermore, we were able to save money for the Owner and Construction Manager on change orders and on the elevator cab allowance.
EDUCATIONAL	Public School (High School & Middle School) – Bronx, NY This project was dormant for a number of years pending decisions from authorities.  Last year a decision was reached to renovate and convert it into a Public School. Engineers at SAVKOM Inc. reviewed the existing elevator and submitted a condition report that included recommendations for modernization. The New York City School Construction Authority accepted the recommendation and a modernization is currently in progress.   We developed specifications which included esthetic improvements, performed submittal review and construction administration of the project. Our Engineers also got involved with the design of two (2) vertical handicapped lifts and this project is currently in the design stage.
RELIGIOUS	Sisters Servants of Mary Engineers at SAVKOM Inc got involved with a very specific problem related to the venitng of the elevator systems at this religious institution. Based upon our knowledge of elevators and HVAC we studied the system and issued recommendations that met the satisfaction of the administration. This institution is implementing our recommendations and has called upon us for further involvement through the end of the project.
